DAY 1 (10) MENDOZA: (100 kilometers). Arrival during the morning. Lodging. Departure around noon to the famous winery. A welcoming lunch consisting of exquisite local disches with wine included. We continued the stroll between vineyards and wineries. Wine tasting and return to the Hotel.

DAY 2 (09) MENDOZA: (400 kms) Departure. Ascension through the mountains to Valle de Uspallata, continuing to Puente Natural del Inca, Aconcagua´s lookout (where mummies from the Incas where found) and Las Cuevas - village that limits with Chile- Return through Potrerillos, observing throughout the road the milestones of the Inca Trail.

DAY 3 (08) MENDOZA: (500 kms) Departure through Route 40, towards San Juan. Brief visit to the city and one winer, arriving to Rodeo, a small town located near Cuesta del Viento Dam where we will enjoy lunch prepared with sweet water trouts (no included). After this, we will continue to Cuesta de Huaco through Guandacol, to accommodate passengers at Villa Union. Accommodation.

DAY 4 (07): VILLA UNION: (320 kms). Visit to ISCHIGUALASTO Park (Valle de la Luna) declared Mankind’s Heritage, important paleontologic deposit of 62,916 Ha. Here we can find vertebrate remains such as Rincosaurs, Dicinodontes, Tocodontes and other dinosaurs that inhabited the region over 225 millions years ago since the Triasic period of the Secondary Age. Visit to TALAMPAYA National Park at La Rioja. With a 215,000ha area, its main attractive resides on the rocks and variety of fantastic forms of the Cañón de TALAMPAYA. Ascencion to Cuesta de Miranda, amongst hills of reddish colors, cardones (type of giant cactuses) and cliffs, arriving to CHILECITO, where we will spend the night.

DAY 5 (6): CHILECITO: (420 kms).Visit to a winery and again by Route 40 to the North where we will visit Pituil, San Blas, Londres, the country’s second most ancient site and head of the department of Belén, at Shincal de Quimivil, a monumental archaeological park built and inhabited by the Inca’s between 1,470 and 1,536 AD preserving the urban design of Cuzco. It includes more than a hundred precincts grouped in monumental buildings. Continuing by Route 40 we will arrive to Quilmes Ruins. This region housed an enormous indigenous population, the Quilmes people, and it is considered the largest pre-Hispanic human settlement of Argentina. Lodging in Amaicha or Cafayate.

DAY 6 (5) QUILMES RUINS/AMAICHA VALLEY: (50 kms). Around 10 a.m. we will visit La Fortaleza, its restored ruins, together a museum, are the reminders of this rich culture. In this fortress, the Diaguitas Indians resisted the Hispanic occupation during 130 years. We can find crafts such as carvings in rocks, wood, and basketwork made of poleo (herbaceous local plant with long and hairy stems). Preserves, arrope (preserve made out of the pulp of some fruits such as grapes, figs, tunas and other local fruits), charqui (bovine meat dried with salt) and aloja de algarroba (beverage made by grinding the aloja’s pod and fermenting them in a leather barrel) are also handmade in this region.
We continue on to Cafayate, where we will visit a winery and we will lodge there. This region’s microclimate is fit for grape growing and winemaking.

DAY 7 (4) CAFAYATE (200 kms): Departure through Valles Calchaquíes, the most interesting and original circuit, towards Alemania, Quebrada de las Conchas, La Viña, Salta City, continuing to SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY. Then we travel across a mountain road to: PURMAMARCA  Great view of 7 Colors Mountain. Lodging. Free time to enjoy this picturesque small town, its typical street, square and to observe its colour crafts made for puna’s inhabitants.

DAY 8 (3) PURMAMARCA: (220 kms). Departure to Tilcara with impressive indigenous ruins, Quebrada de Humahuaca, a cultural itinerary of 10,000 years, which includes a picturesque town of the same name. The site was declared World’s Humankind Heritage by UNESCO, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The Incas entered the region through its trails, and to present date, its people preserve beliefs regarding religion, rituals, celebrations, art, music and agricultural techniques, all of which constitutes a living heritage. Arrive to SALTA City. Lodging.

DAY 9 (2) SALTA: (250 kms).Spectacular ride along the railroad tracks towards Quebrada del Toro, observing El Toro’s Viaduct, and the zig zags of Alisal and Chorrillos. Visit to the historical city of Santa Rosa de Tastil, its ruins and Archaeological museum. Ascension to Abra Blana at 4,080 meters above the sea level. Arrival to San Antonio de los Cobres and on to La Polvorilla viaduct (depending on the road’s conditions). The panoramic view will allow the observation of the big engineering work of the railroad tracks constituting the stretch of “The Train to the Clouds”. Return to Salta.

DAY 10 (1) SALTA:Breakfast and departure transfer at the time foreseen.
